Pool Troubles

We have been chasing a pool leak for several weeks now. Mike and I got down to business and tried our damnest to find the problem. We thought we had the problem solved when we found a damaged "T" between the inlets, but loss of water overnight sent us back to the drawing board. I finally broke down and hired a man to dig the remaining pipeline and hoping the problem will be solved when I return from a well deserved round of golf! Playing today with Peter LaChance (Nancy Morrow's husband)---Maybe I can play for money and win to pay for the pool. The way my luck's running, I'd be in the hole there too! Send prayers to the pool gods above.

My Prediction!

Obama with Clinton as a running mate!

A Prediction for the Democratic Nomination

Having just witnessed the early polling numbers from NC & OH, and having heard all the retorict about how much alike the two candidates are on so many topics, I'm predicting a combined ticket ; Obama/Clinton. The only question remains who's "P" and who's "VP". Dollar to get in on the action;
Dollar for each: President and Vice President...with a $1 dollar bonus if you if you get them both.
Predictions due by Memorial Day!

Luke & Zeb

Luke took his first Communion yesterday with Aunt Jeanna as his sponsor. We are very proud. We had a dinner to celebrate his communion and Aunt Jeanna's birthday. Good food and great conversation. Luke is playing Little League. He is on the 9-10 year old team even though he is 8. The only 8 year old to make the team. He even pitched last week in one of the games and did really well. Struck out some batters (left handed so he definitely has the advantage. Last week he was chosen as the most improved and hardest worker in 2nd. grade at his school. He gor a ticket to a Seadogs game. Zeb is playing on Glenburn's "A" baseball team. He really likes being in public school this year. He made the Festivals in hockey(one of his resolutions) and played in Rhode Island for a New England tourney. He got seen down there by alot of people and now is playing on the TripleA Top Dog team here in Maine. More tourneys to come (hockey goes on forever). Pete had a great time in British Columbia in Feb. teleskiing in the mountains. There were small avalanches but he is safe and sound. Leslie is VERY EXCITED to be coaching Orono High School cheering next year. It is going to be alot of fun to to be working with Jillian.
Leslie's All Star teams took 5 first places, one second, and one third at Nationals. Pete is very happy that it's over for another year. That's it for now.

First Communion

Luke made his first communion on May 3, 2008.

Ooops Was that resOlutions?

Okay, so I'm forfeiting the Sanford Phippen Spelling award....who cares!?!?!?

OOPss was that resOlutions?

New Year Revolutions

First of all, for those type A's or is that type eh? The subject of this post is " NewYear's ReVolution...

What the F__k is he talking about? The same stuff we resolve every year to do better at just keep revolving and revolving, not reSolving, as is "resalutions".

Well one of my resolutions was to file my taxes on time this year, and despite the fact that I still am paying in almost $3K, I efiled on time and will not be paying any "penalties" this year.

As for my other resolution not to buy another size larger in pants, well I'm still able to get into my 32's and I have a pair of 33's as a back up so technically I'm on track for '08.

I'd like to thank all my supporters and I'm looking forward to a nice Summer....

Back in the US of Eh

Hey all,
Made it back into the country without incident...(apparently customs and immigration haven't updated their "watch lists" lately....
The diving in Curacao was excellent, the resort was nice (not as nice as Cozumel) but the tequilla was lousy. However Heineken has a brewery on the island (well yeah, it's a "dutch antillies" island...duh!) and we were treated to the "real" heineken, not the stuff they import to the US.
The airlines lost both my bags on the flight in and I had to wear the same outfit until late Monday night, but I was able to dive on Monday with some loaner gear from the dive shop.
My flights home were good, I got an upgrade to first class for some unknown reason, I think the girl that made our arrangements thought she was getting them and was a bit put out when the tickets were issued...oh well.
Sorry you missed the trip Mike...I did my best to take up the extra food/drinks and alternated sleeping in either bed in the room, and made sure to dirty all the towels each day. Next year I think we're heading back to Cozumel (Hotel Cozumel for those that might want to look it up on line) during the February vacation next year.
I don't have any pictures to post just yet, but when my friend Kris finishes the CD he's putting together I'll try and post some.

OHS's new cheerleading coach :)

Guess who Orono High School's new cheerleading coach is......................
Yes, our very own, Leslie Tuell!

Notes from Ben Douglas

well,Hannah has been succeding in basketball.she is the best player in her league. she was in a basketball clinic over vacation and got to shoot around with the UNH womens basketball team. Jane got a big hair cut as you most likely heard about. she made the all-star team for basketball thus completing her resolution. she also made the aau team and has been preforming well in school.
I had a huge season for ski team. i placed first on the team at two races and came in about second for the mvp at our banquet. my coaches say i ski like i was a junior and not a freshman. i got rookie of the year and a varsity letter with a little skier. i also placed 65th iin giant slalom at states out of 109 skiers and 42nd in slalom out of 111 skiers.
our annual ski trip is in a couple of days. getting ready to see aunt annie. and thats about it. thanks

Hi Ya'll...just following up on my New Year's day post. The ankle does not appear to be broken, just ligament strain. The hot-tub, and snow bank combination seems to be working well. I'm back to work today and tomorrow before being off for the weekend. Be good.

Happy New Year

I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy* new year. I spent the last day of the year skiing the "Pow-Pow" as Annie calls it. I was rough, hard on the legs, but we hung in there. Elija didn't fair as well, but made the best of it. It was then back to Annie's for a spirited game of "Original Six NHL monopoly" We had a low key celebration at Annie's and rang in the new year with some cribbage. *As for the healthy part, I took a mis-step getting up to the loft and rolled my ankle...the film's not back yet to see if it's just a bad sprain, or if the ankle is actually broken. I'll post the X-ray results when I get them....So, be careful out there!
